This is a new sailing fleet at Chelmarsh and I took over as fleet Captain in November 2007 to look after the growing number of differing boats wishing to be sailed here. 
In addition to the main racing fleets of Lasers, GP 14’s Solos and Fireballs,
we have a menagerie fleet of dinghy’s with PY’s between 950 and 1158. All are welcome,
and as long as the boat has a PY within the range can enter racing events on Sundays and
Wednesday evenings. We encourage family sailing and Saturdays are proving to be very popular
with people who “just want to sail” Saturday safety boat cover is provided during the summer
months.

We have a mix of traditional and modern designs sailing at Chelmarsh,
from Mirrors and Wanderers to Asymmetric designs such as Xenons, Stratos and
Topper Sports. The asymmetric group is growing as the 120 acre lake at Chelmarsh gives
ample opportunity to stretch the legs of these potentially very fast boats.
